This event is for parents and carers of young people with special educational needs or disability aged 13-25 years. The event will give you an opportunity to meet some of the orgnisations and services that may be involved with your young person. Over 50 holders will be in available for you to talk to.
Information will be available around
- Education, Employment Post 16 options - Such as 6th form, college, paid work, supported iternships, apprenticeships, volunteering or meaningful activities.
- Independent Living - Young people living as independently as possible, making decisions, having choice and control and information around housing options
- Community Inclusion - Staying in touch with friends, socialising, being part of the community and taking part
- Health - Keeping fit and healthy, moving from children's health services to adult health services.
There will also be presentations around preparing for adulthood and what is meant by personalisation.
Event from 12 - 5.30pm. You do not need to book, and can pop in at any time.
